Sofia Käll

PhD candidate

Sofia Käll has a MSc in Social-Ecological Resilience for Sustainable Development from Stockholm University and a BSc in Environmental Science and Human Ecology from Gothenburg University. She joined the Global Economics Dynamics and the Biosphere program as a research assistant in 2014. 

Sofia’s research seeks to understand enabling strategies that transform food systems into becoming more sustainable, by looking at fisheries’ supply chains and their ability to change and improve. In addition, she is working with issues concerning actors’ perceptions of seafood sustainability and has coordinated GEDB hosted workshops. 

Before joining GEDB, Sofia worked with community resilience and disaster risk reduction within the European Commission and the International Organisation for Migration.
